[attr="class","plist2"] GrowlSatori's call, but with a weak, offensive edge to it. It's not very loud, but any Pokémon who hears it will lose some resolve to attack him, pulling their punches just a little bit. This isn't out of fear, but out of guilt, and a slight uncomfortableness. |

Satori is a rather handsome Torchic, caught by a trainer out in the soft grass of Hoenn's Route 102. She quickly noticed something was wrong; particularly when the Poké-Center nurse wasn't able to stop the coughing! Not knowing where else to go, Satori was left with the Daycare to be adopted. She was not comfortable releasing him, but not able to give him the time he deserves, so she hoped that there would be someone else ready to take care of him. [break][break]
While Satori looks fine, he is unable to exert himself for very long. Pokémon battles are an impossibility because of this. Any attempt has resulted in an immobilizing coughing fit. He isn't contagious, but SEA recommends that he remain in his Pokéball, at least while his trainer out in public. This is to avoid any unwanted exaggerations from germaphobic trainers and Pokémon. Since he spends most of his time outside of his Pokéball sleeping or coughing up a storm, this isn't unwarranted.[break][break]
Despite his weak body, Satori's brave nature often has him trying to stand up to Pokémon far larger than himself, or trying to land a 'date' at any opportunity. Whether he knows he's sick and ignores it, or is unaware of his condition is unknown. Lazarus' best guess is that Satori tries to pretend everything is okay, and that he doesn't want to others to think of him as different.[break][break]
Satori has picked up a variety of habits and behaviors, coming from Lazarus and his previous trainer. This is despite Lazarus' training to rehabilitate him. He has an ego and is vain at the best of times. Satori can lose himself in his own eyes if placed in front of a mirror, completely entranced. To appease him when upset, Lazarus carries a pocket mirror at all times. It instantly calms him when he looks into it, fluffing up his ego. Lazarus even caught him flexing like a Machoke once in front of the bathroom mirror. He also swears that he did not teach him how to do that.[break][break]
When napping, he often sleeps under piles of clothes, or if there are none to be found, curled up in the hood of a hoodie. Despite being a small, cute Pokémon, he snores like a freight train, which in the long run has proved to be a blessing rather than a curse when he hides under a mountain of clothes.[break][break]
Over the years, Lazarus and Satori have formed a close bond. Lazarus takes on more of a carer role than an orthodox trainer, and Satori more of a companion than a typical battling Pokémon, which Lazarus prefers, as he has nightmares about Satori battling. They have a routine that Satori gets irked about if it doesn't happen, or even if he doesn't get enough pats. [break][break]
They've been around each other for years, and while it isn't a typical bond between trainer and Pokémon, they're glad that it happened that way.
It is something that grows over time...
A true friendship
