The Pokemon League of Sinnoh Elite Academy Trainer graduates are the movers and shakers of the Pokemon World. Few gym leaders, Elites, and frontier brains have earned their position without a certification from an Elite Academy. After receiving your acceptance letter to Sinnoh Elite Academy, it’s your turn to be the very best, like no one ever was.
Elite Academy is a statless, literate Pokemon college role play. Students are limited to one Pokemon at the start and may gain more as they progress. We strive to create a literate, collaborative, creative environment where people respect one another and have fun.

"Leah, princess, your big moment is now" cooed a mother, running a brush through her daughter's ginger hair. "Let the entirety of Sinnoh know how important you are. This is your spotlight." Hands ever so gently pulled the girl's hair back into two pigtails, fastening hairpins on each side. The older woman brought her face next to her daughter's, gazing at their reflections in the large dressing room mirror. "You look perfect." [break] [break]
"Of course, mother." A cheeky grin spread across the one and only child of the Estrada family as she admired herself in the mirror. "You know that I will never let you down again."[break] [break]
"That's my girl. Never falter." With a click of her heels, Mrs. Estrada made her exit, leaving Leah to tend to herself in the Jubilife TV dressing room. The nineteen-year-old girl stood from her seat and brushed off her dress, checking her appearance at all angles to be sure that her outfit was without wrinkle or flaw. With a deep breath, Leah pushed open the door of the dressing room and stepped foot into the hallway, where staff members were running around in chaos as they prepared for the live broadcast. Her head held high, Leah strode through the hall, doing her best to avoid the traffic. As she rounded the corner, however, she was met with a surprise as someone collided right into her. A look of disgust emerged on her face as she felt the warm sensation of coffee spilling onto her dress.[break] [break]
"Oh, Ms. Estrada, I'm so sorry!"[break] [break]
"Can't you watch where you're going?!" Leah snarled, her mouth forming a gasp as her wide eyes locked onto the stain forming on her skirt. "M-My brand new dress!!" Her eyes began to well up with frustrated tears as she whirled around, bolting back to her dressing room and firmly thrusting the door closed behind her. [break] [break]
"Mother's going to kill me!" she cried, unable to hold back her tears as they began to roll down her cheeks. Her hands balled into fists as she looked at her reflection in the mirror. How pathetic. It was merely minutes until her television debut, and all of Sinnoh would know Leah Estrada, the young contest extraordinaire, as the hot-headed, spoiled crybaby she was. Maybe she deserved it; maybe the Estrada reputation was one that she could never live up to.[break] [break]
But she couldn't let the public know that. The show must go on.[break] [break]
After drying her tears with the sleeve of her jacket, Leah made her way to the restroom and lifted the skirt of her dress up into the sink, desperately trying to rinse out the brown stain. A few of her remaining tears dripped into the basin, mingling with the running water as she found her attempts futile. She had to think of something. There was no way she was going to step onto that set like this. With a sigh, Leah held her skirt underneath the hand dryer to dry it off. At that moment, a knock was heard at the door of the private restroom.[break][break]
"Ms. Estrada? Are you in there?"[break][break]
"Y-Yes!" Leah exclaimed, hastily pushing down the front of her skirt. "What is it?"[break][break]
"You're on air in four minutes. You might want to make it over to the set." The voice sounded muffled behind the door.[break][break] "Oh! Yes, thank you! I'll be there in a minute!" [break][break]
After waiting for the voice to leave, Leah poked her head out into the hallway, looking left, right, and then left once again before quickly dashing into her dressing room. There had to be something she could do. Her eyes darted around the room hurriedly before locking onto an apron hanging on a rack in the corner. That's it! Leah scurried over and lifted the apron off of the hook, awkwardly fumbling with the strings as she tied it behind her back. She approached the mirror once more to examine how it looked. Sure, it hid the stain, but it looked absolutely terrible! It would have to do, however, as there were merely seconds left before air. She whisked herself out the door and down the hallway as fast as she could, this time being extra cautious as to not collide with another. [break][break]
Leah finally made it to the set, with only seconds to catch her breath before it was time to make her appearance. She closed her eyes, calming the tempo of her heart by taking a deep breath. Just pretend like this is a contest. Dazzle the audience like mother always wants you to. [break][break]
It was her cue. Leah gracefully stepped out onto the stage, her steps gliding across the floor as the live studio audience began cheering. A dazzling smile and wink was shot in the crowd's direction, prompting the dull roar to crescendo in volume. After shaking the host's hand, Leah delicately lowered herself into the studio chair, crossing one leg over another and neatly folding her hands into her lap. [break] [break]
"Welcome back to Jubilife TV live! I'm your host with the most, Miles Martin, and I'm here with a very special guest today. Hailing from Hearthome City, where hearts touch another, is the teenaged girl creating a sensation across Sinnoh for her dazzling contest shows. Please help me welcome Ms. Leah Estrada, the young contest extraordinaire!" [break] [break]
The crowd whistled and clapped as Leah waved, almost as if royalty, to the camera. "It's a pleasure to be here, Miles" she spoke confidently, turning her attention back to the host. [break] [break]
"Wonderful. Now, our first question might not come as a surprising to you, but we heard you applied to SEA. How is that working out for you?"[break] [break]
"For how much money my family has donated to the place, it would be quite a shock if they didn't let me in," she spoke with a snicker, instilling a laugh within the audience as well. "But yes, that is correct. I applied to SEA's platinum college, and they awarded me a heritage scholarship. So, naturally, I will be attended in the fall."[break][break]
The crowd cheered once again.[break] [break] "Wonderful, Ms. Estrada! What do you plan on doing with your time there? Will you be enhancing your trombone musicianship? Or, maybe find love?" Oohs and whispers came from the crowd as the host winked at Leah suggestively.[break] [break]
A forced chortle was emitted from Leah. "Oh, Miles, you humor me" she spoke teasingly. "Though, who knows? Maybe I could find my princess charming, or my knight in shining armor." Leah winked once more, prompting yet another uproar from the studio. [break] [break] "Alright, alright" Miles spoke with a chuckle. "And now, our final question for you, Ms. Estrada. We heard you were debuting a new, special contest outfit on our show tonight. Would you mind showing it off to the crowd?"[break] [break]
Oh NO. Leah thought she could pull off hiding her costume, but here she was, being asked to model it for the entirety of Sinnoh! Trying to not let her emotions get the best of her, she stood up and shakily walked to the middle of the stage, gazing out over the audience, in the spotlight like she always longed to be. However, this feeling wasn't normal. She was scared. Afraid of what the world would think of her and her reputation. All eyes were on her, and for the first time in the 10 years she had been performing, she wanted off of the stage. The words of the host were muffled as she became overwhelmed, her head spinning. She was brought back to reality when a hand clasped around her shoulder, causing her to jump.
"Ms. Estrada, are you alright?"[break][break]
Leah paused before finally speaking, formulating a plan. "...Why yes, Miles, I am quite alright. You see, this apron I'm wearing is actually...a hint to the theme of my next routine! It's a secret, so make sure to come to my performance to see." With a cute pose and a wink, the crowd was captivated once more, and Leah finally felt within her element again. After all, all she needed to do was embrace her circumstances and make the best out of them. [break] [break]
ALL EYES ON ME
[break]
Ever since the young age of 9, Leah Estrada has been performing and competing in competitions across Sinnoh. Her family had a vision—they wanted their princess to exist in the spotlight, and that was just what Leah thrived for. However, much to her parents' distaste, she took up trombone lessons at the age of eleven, and knew that she wanted to incorporate music into her performances to entrance the crowd. Due to exceedingly high expectations from her family, Leah has learned to be confident and daring when it comes to performing. On the negative side, she has an abrasive personality, has a hard time controlling her emotions, and is quick to irritate. She loves to be the center of attention, and is very loyal to those that she cares about. Although she was admitted to SEA based on a heritage scholarship from her parent's donations, she cares more about practicing and having fun with classmates than her schoolwork. At 5'7 and in her second year at SEA, Leah is a hopeless romantic who dreams of finding her perfect soulmate, and because of this, is quick to fall for someone. When she wants to, she can captivate an individual or an entire crowd with the simplest of gestures, such as a wink or a blown kiss. Rather embarrassingly, she is afraid of thunderstorms and lightning, and likes to keep her distance from electric Pokemon.

STAHL
ELEANOR HUME from TALES OF BERSERIA
last edited Apr 12, 2019 2:14:41 GMT by Leah Estrada
During rain, Arietta's speed increases, allowing her to dance around the stage with ease during a performance.
[attr="class","plist2"]
BUBBLE
WATER
Arietta spits out bubbles of various sizes that gracefully float to the sky and shimmer a rainbow hue in the sunlight. In battle, Arietta can use the bubbles to attack her opponent, which burst on them to deal damage.
[break][break]
MIST
ICE
The surskit can produce an icy mist that hovers over the floor of the contest hall, almost like a fog machine, to provide an eerie effect to performances. In battle, it can protect Arietta from negative power changes.
[break][break]
RAIN DANCE
WATER
Arietta summons a light drizzle from the sky, and paired with her ability, it allows her to move faster, both in a contest and in battle.
[break][break]
CAPTIVATE
NORMAL
Arietta performs a stunning dance that captivates the audience, keeping their attention on her. In battle, this move is useful for double battles, as it directs the opponent's focus entirely to the surskit.
[break][break]
ATTRACT
NORMAL
As with captivate, attract can allow Arietta to make the crowd fall in love with her performance. In battle, this works the same way with the opposite pokemon, making it harder for them to want to attack her.
[break][break]
Hyper Beam
NORMAL
Arietta releases a dazzling beam of light, which can often be seen as a show stopper. In battle, the move deals a large amount of damage, but causes Arietta to have to rest before using another move again, leaving her open to attack.
[attr="class","ahist"] WHO'S THAT POKEMON?
[attr="class","afform"]
Leah first received Arietta as a gift from her loving family at the age of 17, as she needed an excellent pokemon to forge a bond with by the time she arrived at the academy. The surskit is rather large for her type, but her long legs allow her more ability to skate and glide across a watery or icy stage. Arietta is naughty in nature, often purposely getting herself into trouble for attention from Leah and others, or doing things to embarrass her trainer. Due to Leah's ease of frustration, she often grows irritable with the pond skater, but she would still never trade her starter for anything. After SEA, they were going to take on the world, the spotlight being theirs to share.
