After receiving your acceptance letter to Sinnoh Elite Academy, it’s your turn to be the very best, like no one ever was.
Elite Academy is a statless, literate Pokemon college role play. Students are limited to one Pokemon at the start and may gain more as they progress. We strive to create a literate, collaborative, creative environment where people respect one another and have fun.

To become a Dark-Type Gym Leader, and to impress the entire world with her battling. She is trying to forget this goal, but she cannot help but seek the destruction of any person she perceives to be her enemy. She perceives strength as the only validation for her existence.
A drunken one night stand. A stupid mistake between two minors. That is the unfortunate circumstance that birthed Lily. There was nothing there. No reason to care, no reason to stay. As such, it was understandable that her father left without paying a dime of child support. She knew a name, nothing more. Everett Thompson. Though she'd never be able to seek out this man, correct? Her mother did her best. Which is honestly a lot given her lot in life. It's not like the two of them were ever particularly rich. They lived in Lily's Grandma's house, using whatever mediocre earnings her mom could get at her various jobs. Its not like Lily ever noticed though. She always had all the toys she could ever want, and wasn't old enough to truly recognize her mother's situation. Though these were not the sort of things she grew particularly interested in. She was more so drawn to the various tomes of literature living throughout the suburban home. Of course, she had to read more child oriented lexicons, but the interest was there. [break] [break]
ACT II: Carnage
Lily's life could be seen as relatively uneventful for most of her early years. At least until she ended up attending her local school. She didn't understand it one bit. Why the other kids were so good at talking to each other, why they gave her distasteful looks, and how to actually get them to like her. A natural outcast, it didn't take long for Lily to end up completely isolated from the other students. Isolation eventually developed into ire, and the target was so eloquently painted on her back. She can't exactly pinpoint when the bullying started, yet it seemed like an ever present leech. Constantly sucking the life out of her schooling, and just about anytime not spent at home. [break] [break]
Simply put, it wore down on her. Every day she'd have to deal with getting ousted and berated by her peers, over the most inconsequential of motives. It began to get much more physical by the time she entered middle school. It was rare for her to return to school without any bruising honestly. Though its not like this would be shared. She grew accustomed to hiding her scars from just about everyone in her life. Her mother didn't raise her to be weak after all. She could suppress her feelings well enough. A beautifully ornate mask adorned her face to represent the person that Lily longed to be. As if a master actress, she maintained the illusion that nothing was wrong with her. [break] [break]
ACT III: A Flower Blooms
However all great performances must come to an end, and leave the mere human existence of an actor in their wake. Lily's mother did eventually discover the truth about her daughter's schooling, and the way that she was treated by her peers. After a long and emotional discussion, Lily was given the support needed to try and validate her own existence. Yet she was still lacking something. A purpose for being. She had spent the last few years of her life running away and retreating further and further into her books, without much of an aim or reason. Luckily for her, this would quite literally be granted to her on a silver platter. A small Pokemon, covered in blades and filled with rage was presented to her. A gift from her mother, with the intent to try and keep her safe in an emergency. She named the small being Dorian, after a character from one of her favorite novels. [break] [break]
There was only one thing that came naturally to her. It just natural for her to take Dorian into the wild and attack some wild Pokemon. Though she soon met a heaping helping of reality at her school once again. As it turned out, all her tormentors received their own Pokemon as well, and took great pleasure in berating Lily's. And unfortunately for the duo, they backed it up on the battlefield. The combat was spontaneous, messy and asynchronous. It was humiliating, to both the trainer and the Pokemon. Dorian just wanted to overcome them with his brute strength, but Lily began to adapt. She studied day in and day out. Just about any books she could find on Pokemon, she'd read. It wasn't just limited to Pokemon battling. She researched the ways of strategy, tactics, logistics, intimidation, manipulation, whatever she could. Then, one day something just clicked. [break] [break]
It was a fairly standard day for Lily. She hadn't battled against her bullies for a couple weeks now, though not for the lack of them trying. Yet now something was different. She was ready. The typical boys confronted her on her way out of the school house, and the fight broke out right then and there. Lily's body language was calm yet meek, while Dorian looked disciplined. The first was a Loudred, a Pokemon that she had done extensive research on. The big difference maker was that now her and Dorian could apply what she'd learned. The duo had trust in one another, and performed their practiced strategy to a tee. Taking a defensive stance, it was only a matter of time before Dorian could ruthlessly punish the opponent's overextension. The rest of the fights played out in a similar manner, even ending with the entire group trying to gang up on the duo. They remained steadfast though, and held their ground. [break] [break]
ACT IV: The Pristine Snowfall
In the immediate aftermath of her dramatic confrontation with the bullies, it seemed like a switch flipped for Lily. As if some sort of demon inside of her has been unleashed, she just kept winning and winning. Dorian and her moved as a unit, and dispatched just about anyone whom they came into contact with. The mental inhibitor holding her back was finally released, and the time had come for the monster to make it's appearance. She grew a reputation around Canalave pretty quickly. Not just because she would constantly win, but she'd win completely. Verbally chastising and berating opponents, playing with their emotions, and showing little mercy to them or their Pokemon. In truth, she relished in her new demeanor. All the pent up aggression she had bottled up for years was finally being shown for all the world to see. A new mask had come to replace the old one, revealing the darker side to the reserved girl. [break] [break]
