The Pokemon League of Sinnoh Elite Academy Trainer graduates are the movers and shakers of the Pokemon World. Few gym leaders, Elites, and frontier brains have earned their position without a certification from an Elite Academy. After receiving your acceptance letter to Sinnoh Elite Academy, it’s your turn to be the very best, like no one ever was.
Elite Academy is a statless, literate Pokemon college role play. Students are limited to one Pokemon at the start and may gain more as they progress. We strive to create a literate, collaborative, creative environment where people respect one another and have fun.

[attr="class","eapbox"] “... It's the type of place, the Pokémon world, where problems we face on Earth just wouldn't happen. There wouldn't be global warming, water shortages, or anything like that. It's a world where the people in it really want to work together with each other. Their value system is such where they would prefer to work together and eliminate these problems rather than feud." The General Overview
[attr="class","eapcon"]
The Pokemon League of Sinnoh: Elite Academy Trainer's (PLS-EAT-PKMN, shortened to “Elite Academy”) setting is inspired by the Pokemon anime and works such as Detective Pikachu. There are cities of millions of people like Goldenrod City in Johto, but there are many more idyllic small towns like Pallet Town. High-speed trains and Pokemon travel are more common than cars. [break][break]
There is no hole in the ozone layer. There is currently no war. Crime rates are, compared to our world, fairly low, and weapons of mass destruction are next to nonexistent.[break][break]
Pokemon and humans live in harmony. It’s not unusual to find a Mr. Mime directing traffic, a vested Stoutland patrolling with their officer, or a Machamp swinging kids on their arms. Service Pokemon exist in great numbers to assist humans with medical needs. [break][break]
While Pokemon are widely regarded as intelligent creatures, it’s difficult to say they are “as smart as” people. Their intelligence is just a different kind of intelligence--not all aspects are equivalent to humankind’s, but they are not all less than, either. For example, your average Slowpoke will have difficulty multiplying 2 and 3, but can manipulate psychic energies better than any person. [break][break]
All Pokemon, from those in the wild to domestic pets, have an innate desire to compete. It’s an instinct that cannot be repressed without psychological damage. Battling is just one way of allowing Pokemon to act on these instincts. [break][break]
The Pokemon League, a series of challenges unique to each region and governed independently thereof, unites Pokemon and trainers alike on a journey to become the next Pokemon Master.
Pokemon League & Certification
[attr="class","eapcon"]
Though the regions of the Pokemon world operate as independent entities, there is one organization that crosses all borders: the Pokemon League. The Leauge regulates all Pokemon-related activities to ensure Pokemon are treated compassionately, respectfully, and ethically. [break][break]
Following the events of the mainline games, the League decided that the average Pokemon handler needed a little more preparation than the average traveler. As such, with the support of the regions of the world, the League put forth a new law: any person in pursuit of or actively participating in a profession heavily involved with Pokemon must be certified by the League. Anybody lacking a certification will not be allowed to challenge the Pokemon league. This kept irresponsible 10 year olds from challenging the League and helped ensure Pokemon were being treated well.[break][break]
There are various ways to obtain your Pokemon Training Certificate. There’s a free six-month course at your local community college, there’s pre-certification programs at your middle school, and there’s workshops run by your city’s League rep every other week at the rec center, but there’s only one Elite Academy in the region.[break][break]
Hearthome City
[attr="class","eapcon"] Hearthome City is only a 15 minute bus ride from the region's Elite Academy. This is proudly proclaimed on the city's tourism site! Boasting a population of approximately 800,000, Hearthome is the second-largest city in the Sinnoh region. Citizens get around on streetcars, buses, and bikes more than they do in cars. The city's greenery is lovingly well-kept by city services, including its famous Amity Square. While known as a great place to raise a family, Hearthome also has a bustling nightlife, kept interesting by a variety of bars and entertainment venues. The Hearthome City Gym is in the process of undergoing renovations, following a change in leadership from Fantina to new blood.
