Move List[attr="class","plist"] CustomMoveNone for Now. Purchase from the Site Shop. | ABILITY[attr="class","plist"] InfiltratorInfiltrator ignores the effects of Reflect, Light Screen and Safeguard. In other words, if the opponent has used Safeguard, Toxic would still badly poison them. |
[attr="class","plist2"] Double TeamWhen Nora uses Double Team, she is attempting to disorient an enemy by moving fast enough to blur her position. This is as if the enemy is staring at her when they really need glasses but have forgotten them at home, astigmatism-like, which is to say just enough to throw off precise aim. [break][break] AcrobaticsAcrobatics are just what they sound like--dizzying acts of acrobatics above the battlefield, gathering enough momentum to initiate a divebomb tackle on the opponent. These antics are much more effective when Nora is not weighted down by holding an item, meaning she can gather much more speed and velocity for a harder hit. [break][break] BiteWhat would you expect a creature with fangs like that of a Noibat's to do but bite, and hard? And what would you expect of an opponent who sees razor-sharp fangs coming at them to do but perhaps be taken aback or flinch away in anticipation? Like the little vampire-esque bat she is, Nora swoops in and goes for the tender part of an opponent for a particularly sharp and pinching bite. [break][break] HurricaneUsing her little wings (as well as the sound from her ears, for a little more oomph), Nora whips up a ferocious wind akin to a tiny hurricane. This flings the opponent up in the air and back down, battering them on the way up as well as when they come back down. This tempest tends to be a lot to take in, which can cause the victim be disoriented (either from the buffeting winds or the impact with debris/the ground). After all, wouldn't you be dizzy getting thrown up in a miniature vortex? In very bright sunlight, the effect of this move tends to be lessened, and in the rain it's made all the stronger. Despite the fact that a hurricane is a little hard to control and has more of a tendency to miss than the average move, even those taking to the sky are not immune to it. [break][break] PsychicPsychic is largely invisible other than perhaps some (imagined?) distortions of the space between Pokemon--as if a ripple in reality is occurring. When it hits, however, it is a mental assault akin to a migraine combined with a nearby cymbal crash while spinning rapidly in circles. All this is to say it is very painful, less like a cut and more like internal trauma. This can be disarming to enemies who aren't expecting it, making them more vulnerable to the next time a mental assault is coming. All of this happens by Nora's ability to somewhat distort vibrations in the air via her ears, similar to a supersonic attack but at a much higher frequency. [break][break] Dragon PulseOpening her little maw and letting out that characteristic dragon roar, Nora can pummel opponents with a powerful shockwave of sound that hopefully shakes the ground, the earth, their eardrums, and their mind in a painful way. |

WHO'S THAT POKEMON?
WHO'S THAT POKEMON?
[attr="class","afform"]
When Lis decided to apply to--and got accepted to--a school abroad, it was of course obvious that she'd need her own Pokemon companion. Her parents had never really bought into the whole trainer/captured Pokemon dynamic so much as entertained a variety of lab Pokemon of various utilities and interests. Lis had benefited from this in that she got to meet and deal with plenty of Pokemon, of course, but it meant the prospect of a Pokemon that was just "hers" (or to put it in a less I-own-this-living-creature sense, was to accompany her far away) was both thrilling and nerve-wracking. What if she picked the wrong one? What if it hated her? What if it was mean? What if they didn't get along? What if it was boring? Well, no, there was no such thing as a boring Pokemon but...what if it was only interesting clinically?
[break][break]
Nora would have intrigued Lis right off the--pun intended--bat for the potential scientific application of echolocation and sound waves. However, the fact that Nora was inquisitive, excitable, and cuddly was a solid bunch of bonuses to create a friendship for the ages. Nora was curious enough to seek out Lis when she and her parents toured a nearby cave, trying various locales to see what Pokemon was "right" or sought her out explicitly. (Surely, if she was to "have" a Pokemon in a ball, it should at least get a say in the matter, right? She definitely didn't want to force a Pokemon to be her friend, right?) The little bat had followed them with a chirp and coo that her parents told her was not necessarily normal for the species, and the rest was history.
[break][break]
Lis had nothing against battling--and Nora did have an attractive typeset--but she was much more interested in the applications outside of battle. Nora didn't necessarily share this zeal for sitting still, however, which turned out to be a boon for the budding scientist trainer as it meant much more active exploration of the campus, meaning she saw and inevitably met more people than she might have been brave enough to otherwise. The two often explored parts of the campus together after dusk, Nora looping dizzily overhead or alighting precariously atop Lis's head. Nora is fond of pretty much any sweet berry and has a very dragon-trademarked fondness for small glimmering metal or shiny things.
