• Born into a family who had it all. Money, fame and a prestigious reputation. The Hoshido family was known for being some of the best Grand Dukes and Duchesses at the Battle Chateau in Kalos.[break][break]
• It was expected that each generation would become the next Grand Duke or Duchess. That expectation was placed on Jun the moment he was born.[break][break]
• His own family had doubts about him, though. He was a bit different than the other "heirs" to the title. When he was young, around six years of age, he began developing hints of psychic powers. It started with a play ball that Jun had accidentally thrown across the room with a thought. It wasn't a strong toss by any means, but the caregiver was concerned since Jun seemingly didn't even touch it. Soon after that, it was seeing how high he could levitate a Pokeball.[break][break]
• His family was immediately concerned, and didn't know much about psychics in general. They kept it quiet and hidden from the rest of the family, and didn't dare speak about it in the public eye. [break][break]
• One incident that occurred when Jun was about ten. His powers hadn't developed further. The maximum he could lift was a Pokeball or a small text book. He decided to test to see how far he could take his abilities, and his attempt to lift a chair ended with a trip to the hospital with a bloody nose and a massive headache. The cover-up story that his family had used was that he was simply chasing around a family Pokemon and accidentally ran into a wall.[break][break]
• Since then, Jun was forbidden to use his abilities or even tell anybody of them. His family cared about his well being, but seemed to care more about his own reputation instead. They knew little about psychics and what their true capabilities were. Since that time, Jun respected their decision and kept quiet about his abilities. [break][break]
• Every little detail of his life was laid out for him, what he could and couldn't do. He had a career, a starter Pokemon and even a potential wife. It was expected that the top Duke and Duchess of different families were to be wed together. An idea that Jun wasn't very happy about.[break][break]
• After primary education, Jun began rising the ranks quickly in the chateau. Two years later, he rose to Duke status and his eyes were set on becoming the next Grand Duke.[break][break]
• However, he hit a road block. The spark Jun had before for battling and the chateau had disappeared. He didn't have the motivation to become the next Grand Duke. [break][break]
• It wasn't until one day that Jun and his family were invited to watch a contest that was taking place in Lumiose City, as part of a charity event. Of course, the Hoshido family agreed to attend.[break][break]
• At the contest, Jun was memorized by the Coordinators. The show they put on between Coordinators and the way the battles almost looked like a show was something that intrigued Jun and initiated that spark within again. [break][break]
• Sometime after that event, Jun was informed he would be attending the Sinnoh Elite Academy on a Heritage Scholarship. His mother was an Alumni of the academy and the Hoshido family had been donors for quite some time. [break][break]
• This was intended so Jun could polish and perfect his skills in battle and rise to Grand Duke. However, he attended the College of Arts, Platinum instead with the intention of becoming a coordinator, much to the disapproval of his family. This has caused a rift between Jun and his family.[break][break]
• He now works towards perfecting his performances and showing his family that there's more than the Battle Chateau.

Extra Info

• Jun's starter Pokemon, Noibat, was bred from his parents' Noivern. It's tradition that Noibat and Noivern are passed down through the generations.[break][break]
• The Hoshido family were well known for the Grand Dukes, while another family was known for their Grand Duchesses. Jun was expected to marry the other family's Grand Duchess when the time came. He still has to talk to his parents about this matter.[break][break]
• Jun can't lift more than 3lbs with his telekinesis abilities. He generally uses it for flipping a book page, turning a light on or off, and occasionally holding a Pokeball.
