The Pokemon League of Sinnoh Elite Academy Trainer graduates are the movers and shakers of the Pokemon World. Few gym leaders, Elites, and frontier brains have earned their position without a certification from an Elite Academy. After receiving your acceptance letter to Sinnoh Elite Academy, it’s your turn to be the very best, like no one ever was.
Elite Academy is a statless, literate Pokemon college role play. Students are limited to one Pokemon at the start and may gain more as they progress. We strive to create a literate, collaborative, creative environment where people respect one another and have fun.
MAY 26TH, 2019
We just wrapped up our first Activity Check! As we move forward, the Fall Festival event will be up a while longer. Anticipate some exciting changes coming soon. Thanks for sticking with us!
If you have any concerns, questions, or suggestions for the site, don't be afraid to send any of that to Fox or Lyro. We're always improving!
While Pokemon battling has been around since man first commanded Pikachu, Pokemon Contests are a relatively recent development. Since the first Contest held in Hearthome City over 50 years ago, Contests have exploded in popularity worldwide. They are artistic endeavors designed to showcase the beauty of the bond between trainer and Pokemon. Those who make it their life goal to become the best contestant are known as Coordinators, but to participate in a contest, you don't have to be a Coordinator - just like you don't have to be a Trainer to participate in a Pokemon battle.[break][break]
Every Contest consists of three phases: an Introduction Phase, an Artistic Phase, and a Stunt Phase.
Contest Sequence

Introduction Phase
[attr="class","eapcon2"]
This is your first post in the Contest thread. First impressions are important, so do your best to win over the crowd with a smile! During the Introduction Phase, you are expected to introduce your character, their Pokemon, and how they feel about the Contest theme. The Introduction Phase will be one post per character and specifics will be revealed in the Contest thread.
Artistic Phase
[attr="class","eapcon2"]
This is the meaty solo portion of the Contest! Contestants are expected to perform a song, a dance, or some form of performance based upon the theme. Role players are encouraged to have a lot of fun with this portion and get creative with their written and visual presentations. Think of this section like a very fun talent show. The Artistic Phase will be one post per character.
Stunt Phase
[attr="class","eapcon2"]
The competitive portion of the Contest, with an emphasis on silly fun. The best Coordinators in the world can keep a level head in any situation - so why not push that for our Coordinators-to-be? While standard Contests emphasize an artistic battle portion, our Contests focus instead on unconventional challenges, such as a Poffin-decorating contest or overcoming an inflatable obstacle course. The Stunt Phase can be one or more posts per character and will be specified in the thread.
CONTEST RULES
[attr="class","eapcon"]
Pokemon Contests are a less-PvP alternative to Battles. They are designed to be fun challenges to be tackled independently or in a small group, depending on the individual Contest. While there are Unofficial and Sanctioned Battles, there is only one type of Contest.
[break][break]
All characters are allowed to participate, regardless of College. Platinum students are just more well-prepared.
[break][break]
Contests will be posted periodically in the Assignments board. For every official Site Event, there will be at least one Contest.
[break][break]
Upon posting, Contest sign-ups will be open for 5 DAYS. After that, additional participants will not be accepted. 4/8/19 Update: Rule temporarily removed, may be reinstated if abused.
[break][break]
Not all Contests will involve direct interaction with other players. This information will be stated in the Assignment.
[break][break]
A character that participates in all three Phases will receive 500 PokeDots; partial participation results in 100 PokeDots per Phase completed.
[break][break]
If a character participates in all three phases, they will receive a TP reward, as well.
[break][break]
The standard duration of a Contest is two OOC weeks. Information for each Phase will be included in the first post of the Contest thread. You are welcome to submit your posts for each Phase until the deadline, but keep in mind you must post in order. (ie, you cannot submit your Stunt Phase before your Introduction Phase)
[break][break]
Each Contest will have a winner. Winners are selected by staff based on how closely they adhere to the theme and the core tenets of the site - if you tell a fun enough story, your character could even perform poorly in one Phase, and still win! Winning characters will receive bragging rights, a trophy for themselves IC, and a ribbon for their Pokemon IC.
