The Pokemon League of Sinnoh Elite Academy Trainer graduates are the movers and shakers of the Pokemon World. Few gym leaders, Elites, and frontier brains have earned their position without a certification from an Elite Academy. After receiving your acceptance letter to Sinnoh Elite Academy, it’s your turn to be the very best, like no one ever was.
Elite Academy is a statless, literate Pokemon college role play. Students are limited to one Pokemon at the start and may gain more as they progress. We strive to create a literate, collaborative, creative environment where people respect one another and have fun.

Elite Academies are just that: academies for the elite. They are expensive institutions exclusively for the next champs in the making. Students are allowed to apply during their last year of high school. Every summer, applications from the previous school year are reviewed. The top 25% of applicants are allowed to take the entrance exams, which consist of an intense written test on Pokemon knowledge and a series of 1v1 battles against fellow hopefuls. [break][break]
Only the top 3% are admitted, leading to an average academy student body of 250, split across three colleges.
Scholarships
[attr="class","eapcon2"]
Of course, there are ways to guarantee enrollment. The Sinnoh Elite Academy offers three scholarship fast-tracks to admission: heritage, merit, and need. [break][break]
Heritage scholarships are granted to children of donors and alumni. [break][break]
Merit scholarships are offered to children who have already made great accomplishments in their field. [break][break]
Finally, and most rarely, need scholarships are given to promising children whose families would otherwise not be able to afford the cost of tuition. [break][break]
Each scholarship allows the student to skip the entrance exams and enroll, free of charge, though their performance will be monitored very closely.

Overview
[attr="class","eapcon2"]
The Sinnoh Elite Academy (SEA) sits just north of Hearthome City. With the Mt. Coronet range behind it and the woods all around, it is an idyllic location less than a 15 minute bus ride from the second-largest city in the region. Its facilities include a gymnasium, a sizable library, dormitories, several outdoor battlefields, and a pool. [break][break]
Upon acceptance, students are segregated into one of three colleges: The College of Battling, Pearl; The College of Sciences, Diamond; and The College of Arts, Platinum. Each focuses on helping the student become the best they can be in their respective fields. Which college they are placed in depends on their hopes and dreams.[break][break]
For students that wish to be something along the lines of trainers, rangers, or gym leaders, they'll fit right in with the Pearl classes. [break][break]
Diamonds are the students whom aspire to be professors, researchers, and general scientists.[break][break]
The last college of Platinum is for students that want to become entertainers, coordinators, groomers, etc.[break][break]
Each class has its own cozy dormitory building that students are required to live in, and dorms are separated into single- or double-occupant rooms on co-ed floors.[break][break]
The official SEA mascot is Grumbledore IV, the fourth in a prestigious line of Munchlaxes to represent the academy. [break][break]
Schedule & Courses
[attr="class","eapcon2"]
Classes run Monday through Friday, 8am to 4pm, though individual student schedules vary. Saturdays are optional half-days, with classes available from 10am to 2pm. Students have Sundays off. [break][break]
The SEA school year runs from the first Monday of September to the last Friday of June. For winter and summer break, students are welcome to stay on-campus for extra courses, though some will vacation with family or classmates. Students must complete 3 years’ worth of study before attempting their Final Exam and Pokemon League Certification Exam. 70% of students pass the Final Exam on the first try. If a student fails to pass, they are allowed one more year of study at the institution; these 4th years are put through rigorous courses to get them into fighting shape. Nobody has failed the Final Exam on their second try--but 4th years have a habit of "leaving" before their year is through.[break][break]
Students are required to take courses in language, literature, basic science, humanities, and mathematics to graduate. While these generals involve students from all three colleges, there are more specialized classes for students in different disciplines. A student aiming to be a Pokemon Doctor, for example, will share more classes with a student aiming to be a Pokemon Breeder than a Gym Trainer. Available classes run the gamut from League Policies 1010 to Johto Mythological Influences on Architecture.[break][break]
No matter the discipline, students are also required to take advanced courses on Pokemon and Pokemon battling. This is due to the extensive influence battling has on everyday life. One of the hardest and most valuable battle courses to take is Physical Conditioning, where trainer and Pokemon develop their body and mind, together.
Academy Rules
[attr="class","eapcon2"]
Widely agreed upon by students as “the dumbest rule”, students are banned from catching any additional Pokemon during their enrollment at SEA. This is to further the student’s bond with their primary partner and enable them to focus on the fundamentals before they go crazy with match-ups. Students are able to "rent" more Pokemon from the academy's private stock upon proving themselves in class.[break][break]
Aside from that, academy rules are fairly standard. They can be summarized as such: [break][break]
Students must be in dorms with the lights out by midnight.
[break][break]
Fridays and Saturdays have no curfew.
[break][break]
No intentional property damage.
[break][break]
Keep your living quarters neat and tidy.
[break][break]
Don’t be tardy.
[break][break]
Wear your uniform during class.
[break][break]
Respect your instructors.
[break][break]
Battle only with teacher supervision or on an approved school battle field.
[break][break]
No alcohol on campus.
[break][break]
No drugs on campus.
[break][break]
No weapons on campus, unless they're Pokemon.
[break][break]
Violating the rules can result in community service, suspension, or expulsion, depending on the severity of the offense.
